Steven J. Stone

Steven is a partner in Rubin, Winston, Diercks, Harris & Cooke, LLP. His practice includes advising privately held companies and high net worth individuals and families on a wide range of legal matters, including estate planning, corporate law, business transactions and investments, and communications law. From the mid-1990s to 2002, he served as one the primary attorneys for The Ackerley Group, a publicly traded media and entertainment company. He acted as lead counsel for many of its acquisitions of television stations and other media properties, and played a key role in its merger with Clear Channel Communications in 2002.

Steven is also of counsel to Eagle & Selden, P.C., a law firm based in New York City.

Steven is interested in and supports a number of charitable causes, in particular those addressing climate change issues and human rights, preservation of endangered species and animal welfare. He currently serves on the boards of the Washington Humane Society and the Climate Law & Policy Project.
