Our firm’s Federal Communications Commission practice encompasses radio and television broadcasting, cable television, wireless, wireline and satellite telecommunications. Our attorneys practicing communications law, who include former high level FCC employees, have extensive experience in licensing, transactions, rulemaking, allocations, hearings, legislative matters and government relations.

The firm’s representation of radio and television clients includes assignments of licenses and transfers of control, new station applications, license renewals, facility changes, station upgrades and compliance with FCC regulations and policies. We represent wireless clients in FCC auctions, licensing, financing and international service authorizations, rate regulation, complaint proceedings and enforcement actions.

We also assist clients in obtaining initial licenses for communications facilities and provide ongoing services for existing licensees to assure compliance with FCC rules and regulations and to provide information essential to their success in the marketplace. We appear regularly before the FCC, executive branch departments, White House offices, Congress and other forums on behalf of clients.

We have extensive experience in the negotiation and documentation of purchase and sales agreements for communications facilities. We also assist clients in the development of business and financial plans, and participate in the negotiation and drafting of financial documents. Additionally, we have experience negotiating and drafting a wide range of communications company contracts and agreements, such as employment agreements, and studio and transmitter leases.
